Westhorpe is a linear village and civil parish in the Suffolk countryside, thirteen miles from Bury St. Edmunds, eight miles from Stowmarket and a mile from the villages of Wyverstone and Finningham.
Administratively Westhorpe forms part of the non-metropolitan district of Mid Suffolk.
Westhorpe Hall was a former seat of the Dukes of Suffolk and the place of death of Mary Tudor, Queen of France.

- John Clarke (3 October 1609 – 20 April 1676), medical doctor, Baptist minister, co-founder of the colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, author of its influential charter, and a leading advocate of religious freedom in the Americas.
