The West University of Timișoara (Romanian Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara) is a university located in Timișoara, Romania. Established in 1962, it is organized in 11 Faculties.
In the 2012 QS World University Rankings it was included in Top 700 universities of the world.[1] Another three Romanian universities have entered the prestigious top.[2]

According to the Scimago Lab, based on data collected between 2007 and 2011, West University of Timișoara ranked 2123 in the World, 187 regionally and 16 in the country by number of publications. [3]
