West Jefferson High School is a public high school in West Jefferson, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Jefferson Local School District. Their nickname is the Roughriders and their main colors are Brown and Gold.
Athletics
West Jefferson High School is in the Mid-State League Cardinal Division. West Jefferson is D5 in Football. They also have Soccer (men's D3 and women's D2), Volleyball (D3),Cheerleading, Golf (D2), Tennis, Wrestling (D3), Basketball (both men's and women's D3), Track, Baseball, and Softball. The Roughriders have many victories in all of their sports especially baseball, football, volleyball, and wrestling (having at least three state finalists every year).
The Football Team holds the state record for most consecutive winning seasons of 42 spanning from 1960 through 2001.
