West Ella

West Ella is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, and is situated approximately 6 miles (10 km) west of the city of Kingston upon Hull. It is situated on the east side of the A164 road. On the other side of the A164 road is Swanland. Together with the adjacent village of Kirk Ella it forms the civil parish of Kirk Ella and West Ella.
The village has no shops but it does have a war memorial.
West Ella along with Cottingham, Willerby, Kirk Ella, Anlaby, Anlaby Common and the town of Hessle are known locally as the Haltemprice Settlements, a former district within the now unitary district of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
