Wellington Albert (born 3 September 1993) is an Papua New Guinean rugby league player who represented his country in the 2013 World Cup. In 2014, he started an economics degree at the University of Western Sydney.[4]

Playing career

He was playing for the Lae Bomber Lae Tigers in PNG as a winger.[5] He is currently playing for the Penrith Panthers after signing a two-year contract which will end at the end of the 2015 season. Wellington is one of the first Papua New Guinean youngsters from schoolboys rugby league to make his way up to professional Rugby League, known as NRL,with the help of rugby league legend Phil Gould, who is currently associated with the Penrith Panthers.
