Weesp - alternative/electronic music band from Belarus. It was formed in 2008 in Minsk. The band have developed their own unique style, mixing hard, yet fluted modes with modern trends in electronic music and expressive vocal tunes. This combination has found good responses in the Western world and CIS countries.[1][2]

History

Weesp was formed in 2008, when young musicians started playing music together in high school. The band has been growing rapidly since then, improving their skills and confidence. Soon, they released their first EP - ep2008vol.1. Despite the success the band has faced in the beginning of their career, the team members have been changing throughout the time, mainly drummers. But, during this hard period, in 2009 the band have created another release - Taste of steel. The mess around the band’s drummers finished only by the beginning of work on the next EP, when Alexey Galesnik joined the band. Also, as the electronic part of the music was becoming more and more complicated and significant, especially in live shows, Alexey Falco just couldn’t bother handling it anymore, so that is when Dmitry's twin brother Stanislav jumped in. And then, they released This Will Destroy Us (EP). In 2011 Weesp have created their first music video - Livan. In March 2013 band released an acoustic single "Caves Unplugged" and made promo video for it. After 2 months, experimental lyric video for the track "Our Own Gale" was published. And a month later, in the middle of June, the musicians presented a full clip for the track "Sub" from the album "This Will Destroy Us".
