Weekend was an early morning lifestyle and entertainment show on ITV, presented by Aled Jones, that airs every Saturday and Sunday morning from 08:30 until 09:25. The first series aired from 26 April to 28 December 2014 whilst the second series began on 18 April 2015.[1]
Format
Weekend features a mixture of chat and musical guests.[2]
The show also has a feature on people with strange talents or hobbies. The item is called 'We're Talking in the Air', a pun on "Walking in the Air", a song famously covered by Jones.
Other items see Jones and guests take a look at the week's television highlights lead by a number of "experts" including Lucie Cave and Alison Hammond and a round up of the most popular viral videos in a feature called 'Trending Trio'.
Production
Episodes of Weekend are pre-recorded Cactus Studios in London.
