Reception

Stephen Kelly of Total Film gave the film a score of two stars out of five and stated that it "plays its 'everything was much better in the old days' fantasy more as a crass cartoon than as stark social realism".[1] In contrast, Nia Childs of HeyUGuys gave the film four stars out of five and stated that "with a long run of films of this genre being genuinely awful, it's refreshing to see something new and exciting that brings promise to the gangster flick".[2]

Allie Gemmill of CineVue stated that the film is "a fun, old-school send-up to the a bygone era of films that took pleasure in its exhibitionism and its hunt for retribution".[3] Joanna Ebuwa of BritFlicks gave the film a score of four out of five and stated that it "offers a powerhouse talent circle of British actors, a strong story with well constructed twists, solid, believable action with the right blend of comedic touches which create an enjoyable story for a British public to engage in but also to believe in".[4]
