Wayne Thomas Batson (born 1968 in Seabrook, Maryland) is an American writer. He has been married to his wife, Mary Lu, for seventeen years and has four children. In 2005 - 2006, Batson wrote The Door Within Trilogy (Book 1: The Door Within, Book 2: The Rise of the Wyrm Lord and Book 3: The Final Storm), published by Tommy Nelson, a division of Thomas Nelson Publishing House.[1]

In September 2007, he wrote another book entitled Isle of Swords, published by Thomas Nelson Publishing House. Its sequel, Isle of Fire was also written and was released on September 9, 2008. Mr. Batson is also writing a new series called The Dark Sea Annals, published by Living Ink Press (a division of AMG Publishers). The title of the first book, which was released on November 15, 2010, is Sword in the Stars. The second book, entitled The Errant King was released on November 15, 2011. The third book, Mirror of Souls, is scheduled for release in summer 2015.

He currently works as a teacher at Folly Quarter Middle School teaching sixth grade English language arts and is the youngest of four children.

In the Fall of 2008 he announced that he was also co-authoring at least three books with fantasy author Christopher Hopper. The series is titled The Berinfell Prophecies. The first of which was released on November 3, 2009 titled Curse of the Spider King. The second followed on July 13, 2010, entitled Venom and Song. The third is titled The Tide of Unmaking, and was self-published on September 11, 2012.[2]

With his release of "Ghost" on July 4, 2013, Batson entered the self-published genre of supernatural thrillers, aimed at more mature audiences than his previous books. It's sequel, Ghost: Minister of Fire is planned to be released in 2015.

His most recent series, "Dreamtreaders" published by Thomas Nelson Inc (2014), is a modern-day paranormal YA adventure dealing with the subject of dreams.
