Wasa Dargah

Wasa Dargah is a village in the district of Siddhrath Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.[1] It is mainly a village of Sunni Syeds/Qazis. Sunni Syed of Wasa Dargah are descendents of Prophet Mohammed Sallalahu alaihi wasallam through Hazrat Syed Makhdoom Hisammuddin kenani Auliya Allah Rahamtullah aleh. His shrine is situated there in Wasa Dargah at south of the village near Makhdoomganj (South Wasa Dargah).

Wasa is known for Dargah of Hazrat Makhdoom Syed Hisamuddin Kenani Rahamtullah aleh. People assemble to celebrate the "URS SHAREEF" of Hazrat Syed Makhdoom Hisamuddin Kenani Rahamatullah aleh on 3rd of Shawwal (the ISLAMIC Month) at the famous Shrine of Hazrat Syed Makhdoom Hisamuddin Kenani Rahamatullah aleh. The devotees come from many places near and far ( like Lucknow, Kanpur, Mumbai ) irrespective of religion and beliefs, gather to seek blessings.

Another a famous Shrine of Brother of Hazrat Makhdoom Syed Hisamuddin Kenani Rahamatullah aleh situated at south of Makhdoomganj (South Wasa Dargah) near Mahtiniya.

Famous poet Syed Shazada Taskeen has described the Wasa Dargah in Following words:

Khak e Wasa Laga lo Seene se ,
Ud ke aayi hai yeh Madeene se .

The devotees also celebrate the "URS SHAREEF" at Shrine of son of Hazrat Syed Makhdoom Hisamuddin Kenani Rahamatullah aleh on 3 June every year.

At the time / day of "URS SHAREEF" the people of Makhdoomganj (South Wasa Dargah) every year arranged a special Bus from Kanpur to Wasa Dargah for "URS SHAREEF" to seek blessings from Makhdoom Brother`s (r.a.) shrine.

Syed Qazi Noor Mohammad (Khadim of Dargah Shareef of Brother of Hazrat Syed Makhdoom Hisamuddin Kenani rahmatullah aleh) resides in Makhdoomganj, Wasa Dargah Distt. Siddharth Nagar (U.P.)


Wasa is 12 km from Domariaganj.
