Warren Moon (born 27 May 1982 in Gravesend, Kent, England) is an Australian footballer.
Biography
Moon completed his schooling at Marist College Rosalie in Brisbane. He was signed by Queen of the South on 31 August 2006, after he had an unsuccessful trial spell with Hibernian.[1] Moon had previously played with the Queensland Roar in the new Australian A-League. He signed for Brisbane Premier League First Division team Eastern Suburbs in 2008. Warren took charge of Eastern Suburbs in the Brisbane Premier League Division 1 for 2008. there in his first full year of coaching he took the club from 10th the previous year to champions, on the way making it to the Premier Cup Grand Final where they were beaten on penalties by Peninsula Power. 2009 Warren signed for the Brisbane Strikers in the Queensland state league. After securing the 2009 QSL champions medal, Warren signed for the 2009 Brisbane Premier League champions Peninsula Power. In 2012 Warren was appointed Head coach along with long time Friend and player Scott Macnicol. At the end of the 2014 season he was offered head coach of Queensland Lions where he once trained with the Queensland Roar. Warren also coaches Anglican Church Grammar School (East Brisbane) first XI. Warren is known for his passion and technical genius.

The 2014 season for Moon and churchie football was ground breaking and historic. The opening GPS fixture was against Ipswich Grammar School. Moon masterminded a 4-4-2 diamond formation that worked wonders for the boys in blue dominating in possession. A penalty from Jesse Daley made Churchie win the game comfortably 1-0. Second game was against Brisbane State High, Moon had faith in the same system and formation. Churchie were winning 3-0 at half time thanks to goals by Jesse Daley, Tim Morgan and Liam Cosgrove. The Church comfortably won the game 5-0. Third game in and it was the hardest so far for Moon and his players, against a tough Toowoomba Grammar opponent. The church losing the game 1-0 with a late goal conceded. Moon gave an inspirational speech on the turf straight after the game to his players. Round 4 was against Nudgee bitter rivals of Churchie. A sloppy start from the Blue and Grey and Moon was down 2-0. Thanks to a superb Jesse Daley goal it was only 2-1 at half time. An inspiring speech made by Moon inspired the players on to a better second half. Tim Morgan scoring a equaliser before Nudgee scored from the spot to hand Moon a 3-2 loss. Round 5 against BBC and Moon again had his tactics spot on for a attack minded game finishing in a 5-2 win. 3 free kick goals from Jesse Daley handed the boys the victory. Round 6 was TSS the biggest game of the season and without doubt Moons most historic win in the 2014 GPS season. A tactical approach from Moon was rewarded when a outstanding goal from Tim Morgan gave the Church the lead. A late goal from TSS and it was thought to be a draw. However a surging run from Tim Morgan and a wonderful left footed shot proved the difference sending the boys in the Blue and Grey Army crazy. Moon Masterminded a 2-1 victory. The next game was against Brisbane Grammar School. Moon fielded a 4-4-2 diamond approach for the game with influential midfielder Jesse Daley controlling the play. A goal in the second half from Jesse Daley gave the church a 1-0 lead but a scrappy goal from grammar with late chances for Churchie the game finished in a 1-1 draw. The last game of the season came against Terrace who were very defensive in their approach to the game. Moon's technical genius changed the formation from 4-4-2 diamond to a 4-3-3. Which enjoyed more success. A deserved win for Moon and his players. Ulhsport Cup Churchie enrolled in the Uhlsport Cup progressing through the round of 32 to round of 8. Churchie were the most dominant team in the games played and a hard fought victory against grammar ensured Churchie and Moon would progress to the Grand Final. Moon and the players had the chance to create history by winning the cup a first ever trophy in the Churchie Football cabinet. Moon masterminded his approach with Churchie dominating the match against Ipswich Grammar School who they previously beat 1-0. In a tense match, Jesse Daley scored a penalty to give the Church the lead. With 2 minutes to go the Church hung on to clinch and make history. Moon had masterminded his way to Churchie history becoming the most successful coach in Churchie Football history.
