It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Chowrangee (Vidhan Sabha constituency).[1]

Overview

The boundaries of the ward are: Marquis Street, Haji Mohammed Mohosin Square, Dedar Baksh Lane, Taltala Lane and Abdul Halim Lane are in the north. Acharyya Jagadish Bose Road is to the east. Muzaffar Ahmed Street is to the south. Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Street is to the west.[2][3]
