Ward No. 40, Kolkata Municipal Corporation is an administrative division of Kolkata Municipal Corporation in Borough No. 5, covering parts of College Square neighbourhood in central Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Jorasanko (Vidhan Sabha constituency).[1]

The boundaries of the ward are: Keshab Sen Street is in the north. Ram Mohan Roy Sarani (formerly Ahmerst Street) is to the east. Siddheswar Chandra Lane, Madhu Gupta Lane and Surendralal Pyne Lane are to the south. College Street is to the west.[2][3]
