"Want to Want Me" song by American recording artist Jason Derulo. The song was released on March 9, 2015 as the first single from his upcoming fourth album Everything Is 4.[1] Derulo co-wrote the song with Sam Martin, Lindy Robbins, Mitch Allan and Ian Kirkpatrick;[2][3] the latter is also the producer.

Music video

The song's official music video, directed by Colin Tilley, was released exclusively on the Dating App Tinder on March 23, 2015.[4]

Synopsis

The video opens with Derulo and his love interest reclining minimally clothed in their respective beds. With a fan on and most of the sheets having been pulled off Derulo's red bed, he sings that it is "too hard too sleep". He hails a cab to "get me there fast" and soon hooks up with his lady waiting on a blue bed. The video also featured Derulo singing and dancing on a stage in an open-collared white shirt with black jacket and matching trousers.[5]

Live performances

Jason Derulo performed "Want to Want Me" for the first time at the 2nd iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 29, 2015.[6] He performed the song on American Idol on April 8, 2015, The Ellen Show on April 13, 2015 and on The Voice. on April 28, 2015
