Wallis & Edward (in Canada also known as Her Royal Affair[1]) is a 2005 British made-for-TV movie, scripted by Sarah Williams, dramatising the events of the Edward VIII abdication crisis. It was billed as the first scripted account of the romance between Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII of the United Kingdom to view events from Wallis Simpson's point of view.[2] Joely Richardson played Wallis, and Steven Campbell Moore, Edward. It is comparable to the 2002 Bertie and Elizabeth, covering some of the same subject matter in a similar style, but from the point of view of Edward's brother Albert (George VI) and sister-in-law Elizabeth.
