WROK-FM (105.5 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Macon, Georgia.

History

Prior to September 3rd, 2009, WROK-FM carried a Sports Talk format carrying ESPN Radio as ESPN 105.5 The Fan, Middle Georgia's Only 24/7 Sports FM, under the callsign WIFN. On 3 September 2009, WIFN began stunting by playing all TV show themes. An announcement was played in between the themes to "tune in" at 1:05 PM the next day for a big announcement. At that time, WIFN moved to 1500 AM, with WROK-FM taking its place on 105.5, along with it a new Mainstream Rock format and a new name, Rock 105.5. The first song on Rock 105.5 was Know Your Enemy by Green Day.[1]

Programming

WROK-FM is a mainstream rock station, using Cumulus' "Macon's Quality Rock" slogan. WROK-FM is also the FM home of the Atlanta Braves baseball and Georgia Bulldogs football games [1][2]

In October 2009, the station picked up the The Regular Guys out of Atlanta for its morning drive slot. It is simulcast from fellow Cumulus Media owned WNNX-FM 100.5.
