WIHW-LP (96.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Dover, Delaware. The station is owned by Capitol Baptist Church. It airs a Religious radio format featuring programming from the Fundamental Broadcast Network.[1]

Other programming on WIHW-LP includes the Revival Time Radio Broadcast hosted by Dr. Jack Trieber[2] and Truth For Teens, a Christian ministry for troubled teens.[3]

The station was assigned the WIHW-LP call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on April 10, 2004.[4]

Controversy

During construction of the station's broadcast tower, there was significant local opposition to the height of the structure and proximity of the transmitter to critical elements of the city’s electric and water systems.[5] Representatives of Capitol Baptist Church brought in the Christian Law Association as part of their negotiations with the Dover Planning Commission. The church offered to reduce the height of the tower and build the tower closer to their building and further away from a nearby electric system substation. The situation was ultimately resolved with a relocated transmitter and a tower height reduced from 100 to 85 feet.
