WIBB (1280 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Spanish adult hits format. Licensed to Macon, Georgia, USA, the station is currently owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. (formerly Clear Channel Communications) and licensed to AMFM Radio Licenses, LLC.[1]

History

The station went on the air as WIBB November 14, 1948.[2] On 1993-03-01 the call sign was changed to WKXK but was changed back to WIBB on 1994-11-29. Then on 1995-12-08 the call sign was changed to WQTK and then on 1997-03-31 to WLCG. Finally on 2008-01-17 the call sign was changed back to WIBB for the 3rd time.[3] The station had been broadcasting a Rhythmic oldies format until it changed to a Talk radio format on 2008-10-13, and then it later on took on a gospel format with the "Halleluah" branding. Now it has taken on a "Comedy Branding."
