WHAN is a Full Service formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Ashland, Virginia, serving Ashland and Hanover County, Virginia. WHAN is owned and operated by Fifth Estate Broadcasting.[1]

New Programming

On February 1, 2015 Charlottesville-based public broadcaster WTJU began simulcasting it's programming on WHAN.[2] WTJU, owned by the University of Virginia, will operate the station as part of a three year local marketing agreement.[3] WTJU will have the option to buy the WHAN and translator W275BQ in the future.[2] WTJU is in negotiations with Virginia Commonwealth University webcaster WVCW to broadcast on WHAN from 6pm to 1am daily.[4]

In addition to the main station, WHAN is relayed by an FM translator to widen its broadcast area.[5]
