WGMN is a Sports Radio formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Roanoke, Virginia, serving the Metro Roanoke area. WGMN is owned and operated by 3 Daughters Media.[1]

History

WGMN launched as WROV, which was a Mutual affiliate owned by Radio Roanoke Incorporated. Originally broadcasting on 1490 kHz, it moved to 1240 kHz in 1948. Radio Roanoke also operated WROV-FM on 103.7 MHz.[2]

It was the leading Top 40 station in Roanoke during the 60s and 70s and was owned by Burt & Muriel Levine.

WGMN and WVGM would be sold to 3 Daughters Media.[3]
