WFTE (90.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Mount Cobb, Pennsylvania, and (105.7 FM) Scranton, Pennsylvania The station's licensee is Community Radio Collective, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
WFTE Community Radio aired live on the air in 2011.[1] With translator W289AU on 105.7 FM, WFTE Community Radio broadcasts to around 500,000 residents in the greater Scranton, PA area.[2]
Mission statement
WFTE's mission is "to create and provide high quality, innovative and community-oriented programming serving communities, information, and ideas that are ignored, suppressed, overlooked, or under served by the mainstream media." [3]
WFTE's programming is "dedicated to the progressive values of social justice, economic justice, human rights, multiculturalism, environmentalism, freedom of expression, and democracy." [3]
