History

WBQB had originally been WFVA-FM, simulcasting sister WFVA's Middle of the Road format.

In the early 1980s, WFVA-FM split from the AM/FM simulcast and began a classic rock format.

In 1989, WFVA-FM switched calls to WBQB and picked up a hot adult contemporary format.

On April 5, 2011, WBQB switched their format from hot adult contemporary to adult contemporary.
