Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation
The Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation (VG) is a First Nation in the northern Yukon Territory in Canada. Its main population centre is Old Crow, Yukon. As the name indicates, the language originally spoken by the people is Gwichʼin language. There is a significant population in Eagle, Alaska. A generation ago, many families moved to Old Crow, Yukon.
The Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation was one of the first four First Nations to sign a land claims agreement in 1995.
