Vrushika Mehta is a dancer and an Indian television actress. Vrushika made her debut with Channel V's popular dance based youth show Dil Dosti Dance[2] as the female lead of the show portraying the Character of Dancing Diva "Sharon Raipraksh".she is being cast opposite Shantanu Maheshwari aka Swayam (male lead) from the show. Vrushika Mehta has completed her graduation from Tollani College of Commerce, Mumbai, Maharashtra. She had also lended her voice for an episodic for Yeh Hai Aashiqui telecasted on Channel Bindass[3] produced by BBC Worldwide productions.
Early life
Vrushika was born 18 February 1994 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India into a Gujarati family. She now lives in Mumbai. Vrushika began exploring her potential as a dancer from her high school days itself by participating in various dance competitions and winning many in the solo dance category in the genre of Contemporary . She went onto win the duet dance category with her Partner Sonal Bandekar at Dance Mumbai Dance, 2011 organized by Terrence Lewis Acedemy. She further was selected to be a part of a Marathi Dance reality show Khallas Dance Ekach Chance on Mi Marathi channel where she was mentored by Mayuresh Wadkar. Alongside all this, she was also a part of a dance crew named Supernaturals in her early college days. she is also a great Contemporary, Bollywood, Folk dancer.
Professional Life
Box Cricket League
Box Cricket League is a cricket tournament conceptualised for Indian television stars. Vrushika Mehta was a part of the team Ghaent Punjabis along with her co-actor Shantanu Maheshwari in the inaugural season of the franchise. Ghaent Punjabis was the winning team that season. In the second season , she was part of Chandigarh Cubs. She was never a part of the playing squad, but was nevertheless at her charming and supportive best during both seasons.
Telly Callender 2015
Vrushika's immense popularity among youngsters helped her soar all the way to Petra, Jordan[4] where alongside 12 other noted television actresses, she had the opportunity to be part of an exquisite photoshoot in a breathtaking location. She was the youngest among the line up and this was her first encounter with a professional photoshoot. This stint also brought her opportunities to endorse various brands like Sia Art Jewellery and Options Fashions. And the final pictures were phenomenal!
Lakme Fashion Week 2014
Vrushika received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of Lakme Fashion Week in 2014. She interviewed designers such as Quirk Box,HUEMN Designer and Sonaakshi Raj, and make-up professionals participating in the grand event alongside seasoned VJ Sarah Jane Dias. She also had the chance to be a try-out model for renowned make-up artiste Cory Walia, breathing life into our screens all over again, this time with many a different look!
Featuring in GR8 Magazine
Vrushika along with her co-star Shantanu Maheshwarialso featured in GR8 magazine :- India's leading Television Magazine in november edition. They also further went on to win the prestigious 14th ITA awards for Most Popular Onscreen Jodi(Viewers Choice) and subsequently featured In cover picture of GR8 Magazine's december edition.
