VMedia is a Toronto-based telecommunications company, offering television, telephone and internet connectivity services in Ontario. It operates as a fully licensed BDU (broadcasting distribution undertaking), under the auspices of the CRTC, offering a unique entertainment portal that combines traditional subscription television service with access to internet-delivered content.
VMedia officially launched on March 26, 2013 and is currently available only in select areas of Southern Ontario as well as the Greater Toronto Area. IPTV Service will gradually be expanded to cover all major urban centres in Ontario and eventually into parts of Quebec.[1]
VMedia’s set top, the VBox,[2] powers both TV programming as well as access to internet content on the TV screen, via hundresd of apps in movies, social media, music, games and multicultural TV sites.
Company is first to offer "pick-a-pack" and "A-la-Carte" channel selections to Canada. It is called UChoose.

VBox runs Android 4.0 and has 1 GB of DDR3 RAM.
PDF manual [5] shows that the Set-top-box has one Ethernet Input, one HDMI and one an analog output via conversion cables and 2 USB inputs.
VMedia launched VCloudTV network PVR on April 3, 2014. VCloudTV is Canada’s first cloud-based TV distribution technology. It allows VMedia TV customers record and enjoy their favourite TV shows without expensive hardware.
VMedia launched a triple-play service in Ontario September, 2014, and is currently the only triple-play provider which is not a facilities-based incumbent cable or telecom provider.
