Vladan Vićević (Serbian Cyrillic: Владан Вићевић, born 26 July 1967) is a retired Serbian-born Salvadoran international football player.
Club career
Vićević, born in Titovo Užice, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia, played with his hometown club FK Sloboda Užice in the Serbian lower leagues for a decade between 1986 and 1995 before moving to El Salvador to play with Águila from August 1996. He returned to Sloboda Užice after leaving El Salvador in 1998. After he retired, he became a manager of his former employer Águila.[1]
International career
Vicevic became a Salvadoran citizen (as claimed later in illegal circumstances)[2] in February 1997 and was soon eligible to play for El Salvador. Nicknamed el Bicho (the little beast), he made his senior debut for his adopted home country during the tenure of his compatriot Milovan Đorić in a March 1997 friendly match against Guatemala and has earned a total of 20 caps, scoring no goals. He has represented the Cuscatlecos in 9 FIFA World Cup qualification matches[3] and played at the 1997 UNCAF Nations Cup[4] as well as at the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup.[5]
His final international game was a February 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup match against Jamaica. He left El Salvador as soon as Đorić resigned as coach.
Managerial career
In 2007, he was appointed the new manager of Chalatenango. After an outstanding season Vićević resigned as manager in February 2008 due to personal reasons.
In September 2011, Vićević was announced as the new coach of Alianza[6] but in January 2012 he resigned after some bad results.[7]
In 2013, he was rehired by Aguila however after a string of poor results he was saked.
he is currently the coach at the Academia Cerritos in the 2014 season .
