Dr. Vinod Surana is the CEO & Partner of law firm Surana and Surana International Attorneys.[1]
Biography
Vinod has completed his P.I.L. from Harvard Law School, his L.L.M from Cornell University and Ph.D from Madras University.[2] Vinod was the first Indian to become World President of The International Law Students Association (ILSA), a body which enjoys advisor status to the U.N.[3] He has received diplomas and executive training from Harvard University, London School of Economics, Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore, Ahmadabad) and Indian School of Business.[4]
Achievements
Vinod is the only lawyer to be part of the Indian Prime Minister’s delegation to Japan in 2007 and to South Africa in 2008). He led four Confederation of Indian Industry delegations and one FICCI delegation to the Caribbean & South America consisting of leading industrialists, investors and government officials to promote Indian diplomatic, political and business interests in that region.[5] Vinod is the recipient of the Rajasthan Yuva Ratna award in 2012.[6]

- Vinod is currently a National Governing Council member of the Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry.[7]
- He is one of the youngest members to be elected to the Governing Council of the International Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India.[8]
- He has been re-elected to the Governing Council of Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2011.[9]
- He is a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry National Committee on Legal Services and National Committee for Latin America
- He has elected to the Governing Council of Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry from 2012 - 2014.
- He is an executive committee member of International Chamber of Commerce in India.
- He is a past Council member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (Southern Region).
- He is a Life member of the Indian Society of International Law and Indian Council of Arbitration
