Vinod Kumar Boianapalli (born July 22, 1959) is a politician from Telangana and is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Karimnagar constituency of Telangana state. He represented the Hanamkonda constituency of Andhra Pradesh and he is one of the founding members of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) political party.
Early life
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli was born in Karimnagar.Mr.B.Muralidhar rao & Mrs.B.Sugunadevi are his parents. His father was a state government employee in the revenue department at Warangal. He has a younger brother and a younger sister. His paternal family is an Agricultural family from Enugal village of Warangal district. His maternal family hails from Nagaram village of Karimnagar district. Prominent freedom fighter and Communist party leader Ch.Rajeshwar Rao, Former Planning Commission member and economist CH Hanumantha Rao, Ch.Venkateshwara Rao and Former Union minister C. Vidyasagar Rao are his maternal uncles.
Education and student politics
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli did his schooling at Nehru memorial school, Warangal, intermediate at Government Junior College, Hanamakonda, and Degree & LLb at Kakatiya university. At a very young age of 14, Mr. Vinod associated with the All India Students Federation(AISF) which is a frontal organization of the Communist Party of India (CPI). He was very active in student politics. He held various office bearer posts in the AISF state and national committees and also in Students Union. During his student days he participated in various public movements and agitations in Warangal.
Advocate profession
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli enrolled as an advocate in the year 1984. He practised as a Lawyer in Warangal district till 1998. Later, he started his practice in Andhra pradesh High court at Hyderabad.He was the member of the Andhra pradesh bar council.
Political career
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli was enrolled as the member of the Communist Party of India in late 70's and held various organizational posts in CPI in Warangal district and state committee.He actively participated in various people's movements. He participated in various National & International seminars on World peace, Indo-Soviet cultural society. In the CPI party, he worked as District assistant secretary, Warangal and state council member.
TRS Party & Telangana Movement
Vinod Kumar Boianapalli is one among the founder members of Telangana Rastra samithi(TRS). He closely associated with TRS president K.Chandrashekar rao and conducted many debates, seminars, round table meetings on backwardness of Telangana region for more than a year as a result Telangana Rastra samithi(TRS) was launched on April'27'2001.Since then he started playing a key role in TRS party &Telangana movement.In 2004 general elections he contested for Hanamkonda Lok sabha and won it with Highest percentage of votes in state. As a Member of Parliament he played an important role along with K.Chandrashekar rao in convincing 32 political parties on the issue of Telangana statehood and collected letters from these parties in support of Telangana.These letters were submitted to Pranab mukharjee committee. He in protest against UPA for not keeping its promise of delivering Telangana, he resigned for his Lok Sabha in March 2008. later in By-Election again he retained his seat.
