Vincent River (play)

Vincent River was the fourth stage play by Philip Ridley. It premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in London in 2000.

It enjoyed a revival in October 2007 at Trafalgar Studios in London. The production starred British actress Lynda Bellingham and British actor Mark Field.[1][2] [3]

An Off-Broadway production opened in June 2008, with Mark Field reprising the role of Davey and British Actress Deborah Findlay playing Anita. The Play received much critical acclaim.[4] [5][6][7][8][9][10]

It's Australian Premiere was performed by Beejan Land and Elaine Hudson in 2009 at Tamarama Rock SurfersTheatre to rave reviews.

In 2006 Marianne Epin and Cyrille Thouvenin starred in a television movie made in France, basically a photographed stage play version. It is available on region 2 dvd.

In 2014 the story was adapted into a film, LILTING, starring Ben Whishaw, Cheng Pei Pei and Andrew Leung. Written and directed by Hong Khaou. The nationality of the grieving mother and deceased son was changed to Cambodian.
