Vincent H Pala (born 14 February 1968 Village) is an Indian politician, belonging to Indian National Congress. In the 2009 election he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the Shillong Lok Sabha constituency.[1][2] He held this seat in the 2014 elections and became a member of the 16th Lok Sabha.
Early Life and personal life
Vincent H Pala was born to John Dkhar and Hermelinda Pala on 14feb, 1968 in Village Lamyrsiang, Distt. Jaintia (Meghalaya). He is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College and later he worked as Assistant Chief Engineer
He married Dimorine Tariang and has four daughters and resides at Edamanry Cottage, Dhankheti, Shillong.[3]
Political career
Vincent Pala has been elected to 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 representing Shillong (Lok Sabha constituency). This was the first time he stand as a candidate for the Lok Sabha election. Initially worked as Union Minister of States, Water Resources and later selected for the Union Minister of State, Minority Affairs.[4] He was re-elected in the 2014 election and as of 2014 is currently a member of the 16th Lok Sabha representing Shillong.
