Vilho Ilmari Ylönen (31 May 1918 8 March 2000) was a Finnish skier and sport shooter.

Ylönen was born in Hankasalmi. He took part as a soldier at the Finnish team at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz (demonstration) which placed second. His military rank at his time was kersantti.

At the 50 metre rifle three positions event during the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki he placed second, at the 300 m rifle three positions event in Melbourne 1956 he placed third,[1] and was voted as Finnish Sportspersonality of the year 1958.

He finished 4th at the 300 metre rifle three positions event and 17th at the 50 metre rifle prone position competition in Rome 1960. Ylönen started once more at the 1964 Summer Olympics 1964 in Tokio where he placed 15th at 50 m Rifle three positions shooting and 43rd at the 50 m Rifle prone position event.
