Vilankurichi is a neighbourhood in Coimbatore city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, which is recently merged with the Corporation of Coimbatore. Vilankurichi is the IT hub of Coimbatore. Neighbouring places are Peelamedu, Ganapathy, Gandhimanagar, Cheranmanagar, Kalapatti, Saravanampatti.

Recent Days
Because of IT growth in the surrounding areas, Real estate companies have targeted the Agricultural lands in this place. Farmers were forced to sell their lands to these Realty groups. They were threatened by various Local Politicians, Police Officials, Government Officers to sell their land at a cheaper rate. Now Beautiful Highrise Luxury Apartments are coming up in the fertile land.
