Vikraal aur Gabraal is a horror series which aired on Star Plus at weekends on every Saturday at 20:00 IST. The series became popular and it was re-aired in the sister channel STAR Utsav.

Plot

Vikraal aur Gabraal is a unique brand extension of the two most popular characters of Shhhh... Koi Hai. It centres around Gabroo and deals with Gabroo's passion and ambition to become Gabraal - a ghostbuster who is just like his boss Vikraal.

Vikraal teaches Gabroo how to catch different kinds of ghosts by narrating him the stories that are specific ghost related stories dealing with the birth, growth and the manifestation of all kinds of evil spirits and creatures.

And finally it all leads to a grand end where to Gabroo's shock, the ghost is still alive. Seeing Gabroo's enthusiasm, Vikraal teases him by not showing him the end. The end is vital because this is where Vikraal himself enters the story and vanquishes the evil for good.

And to reveal this part to Gabroo, Vikraal asks for a gold coin. So Gabroo gives him a coin and Vikraal narrates him the climax.

Vikraal is a handsome ghost buster whose mission in life is to rid the world of all kinds of evil ghosts and spirits. Vikraal's charm lies in his attitude.
His weapons include

  1. Cross bow - The magical crossbow is carried on his bike handle and is used to shoot the ghost's heart.
  2. Flying disks - The magical flying disk always marks the entry of this hero. This works like a boomerang disk.
  3. Rope - His father gave him this rope.This rope is not like ordinary ropes,it is has magic.
  4. Ring - Vikraal's laser ring, which not only shoots in straight angles, but also can curve, dodge and chase.It can also find the center of any place.
  5. Red glares - Through these, he can detect ghosts and ghost prints which help him see the supernatural.
  6. His likes - Milk, Bikes, Gadgets, Dark colours and his favorite colour is black!
  7. His dislikes - He hates to party and does not express his emotions.
  8. His weakness - Vikraal has a soft corner towards anyone who shows affection.
  9. His zone - Vikraal's zone are the khandars, havelis, tehkhanas and graveyards.

Gabraal

Gabroo supernatural dwarf who is greedy for gold coins and his love for Lily often messes things up for Vikraal. Gabroo's secret ambition is to be another Vikraal. He sees himself as Gabraal but his false bravado always gives way to his real scared inner self.

Gabroo can fly once a day and collects gold coins. He has collected 200 gold coins, which Vikraal has with him. And that is the reason why Gabroo works for him. Vikraal adds two coins every week to it. But for every mess up of Gabroo, he takes one coin away.
