Vietnam is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Shooting

Vietnamese shooters have achieved the following quotas based on their performance at the 2014 ISSF World Shooting Championships.[1]
- Men's 50 m pistol – 1 quota place (Hoàng Xuân Vinh)
- Men's 10 m air pistol – 1 quota place (Trần Quốc Cường)
Swimming

Vietnamese swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and potentially 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[2][3]
