Video gaming in the Republic of Ireland
Video game development in the Republic of Ireland is a major growth industry with the national government trying to encourage investment via tax breaks.[1][2]
Manhunt 2 was the first video game banned in Ireland in 2007,[3] later lifted. After being unbanned the game received a "suitable for ages 18 and older" PEGI rating, which is only advisory and not legally enforceable.
