Vessel is the third studio album from American duo Twenty One Pilots which was released on January 8, 2013 through Fueled by Ramen. It is their first full-length release since being signed in 2012.[1][5]
In a fan-based interview, lead singer Tyler Joseph spoke on the meaning behind the album's name, saying that a vessel (our body) is an object carrying something far more important than the outer shell, and when we die, that is set free and lives on.[6]
Tracklist
All songs written and composed by Tyler Joseph[5] except "Holding on to You" (which was written with numerous co-writers).
The album is a mix of new tracks and tracks found on their previous self-released album, Regional at Best, as well as all of the Three Songs EP that preceded this release.

Notes
- "Ode to Sleep", "Holding on to You", "Car Radio", "Guns for Hands", and "Trees" were originally released on their self-released album Regional at Best, with slight differences in production.
- "House of Gold" was released as a bonus track on "Regional at Best". The original version, like others, has slight differences throughout the song compared to the version found on "Vessel."
- Although all tracks on "Vessel" that were originally on "Regional at Best" have minor enhancements and alterations, the songs "Ode to Sleep", "Car Radio", and "Trees" contain the most noticeable differences (different vocal recording and various sounds throughout the song "Ode to Sleep", different style of speech in "Car Radio", and a lack of Vocoder in "Trees").
