Vera&John
Vera&John is an online casino with its headquarters on Malta. Vera&John is operated by Dumarca Gaming Ltd whose parent company Dumarca Holdings PLC was acquired by Intertain Group Ltd in 2015.[1] Intertain Group Ltd is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Vera&John is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.[2][3] Vera&John was founded by Jörgen Nordlund, previously known for founding Maria Bingo that was acquired by Unibet for GBP 54 million in 2007.[4]
Short History
- 2010 - Vera&John casino is launched, mainly targeting the Scandinavian gaming market with games from Betsoft, Microgaming and NYX Gaming.
- 2011 - Net Entertainment games were added to Vera&John's game selection.
- 2013 - Games by Yggdrasil Gaming become available at Vera&John casino.[5]
- 2014 - Vera&John claims to be the first regulated online casino to accept Bitcoin as a payment option, only to suspend the Bitcoin payment facility 3 months later.[6][7]
- 2015 - Vera&John is acquired by Intertain Group Ltd for up to €89.1 million.[8]
