Velimir Kljaić
Velimir Kljaić (February 10, 1946 - August 12, 2010) was a Croatian handball coach and player.[1]
Career
As a player Kljaić played for Medveščak Zagreb and Klagenfurt. As a coach he won two Championships of Croatia with Zagreb and one Cup. In Germany he was the coach of the year in 1992 in which he won German championship and Cup with SG Wallau-Massenheim.[2]
As a coach of Croatia he won gold in the 1996 Summer Olympics.[3][4]
He was also coach of Egypt and Kuwait.
Personal life
Kljaić was born in the village of Danilo Gornje near Šibenik. He is the father of Nenad Kljaić. He died in Zagreb.
