Veendam is a railway station in Veendam, The Netherlands. The station reopened on 1 May 2011, when the Veendam–Zuidbroek section of the Stadskanaal–Zuidbroek railway was reopened to passenger services. The train services are operated by Arriva and served by stopping trains from Groningen. The station was previously served by passenger trains from August 1, 1910 to May 17, 1953.

Bus services

With the opening of the station the direct express bus to Groningen (line 301) was withdrawn. Other services in the region have been rerouted to serve the new station. These include services 13, 76, 110, 171, 174, 271, night bus 401, school service 603 and dial-a-ride service 71.
