Ve Interactive

Ve Interactive is a London-based technology company. It employs about 700 people and serves over 6,000 e-commerce clients globally, working in 47 countries from 18 offices worldwide and in 19 languages. It implements online efficiency strategies for e-commerce retailers across various sectors, optimising their online conversion rates,^[1] and thus improving online sales of e-commerce retailers.^[2] It is part of East London Tech City technology cluster,^[3] an area of London known for its technology startups. Ve Interactive is based in London's historic neighbourhood of Clerkenwell.^[4]

Besides providing e-commerce solutions to clients, Ve Interactive tracks online shopping statistics in some of its markets of operations and regularly publishes its statistical findings.^[5]

Ve Interactive's annual turnover for 2013 was estimated at £23m.^[6]

History

Ve Interactive was established in October 2009 by David J. Brown, a British serial entrepreneur, as a technology startup company.^[7] Since then it grew rapidly, showing up to 300% year-on-year growth.^[8]

In the process of its growth Ve Interactive made several acquisitions of technology companies:

• In June 2012 Ve acquired Adaptive Consultancy;^[9]
• In April 2014 Ve acquired adGenie for an undisclosed sum.^[10]
• In November 2014 Ve acquired GDM Digital, an adtech and digital advertising company, for $12 million adding all 42 staff to Ve's team.^[11]
• In November 2014 Ve acquired Qunb, a Paris-based data visualisation start-up, for a "multi-million pound cash and shares deal” adding all staff to Ve's Paris office.^[12]

All Ve Interactive's products are classed as SaaS (software as a service). According to the company's website, it offers the following products to its clients:

• VeContact - an email remarketing tool.
• VeChat - an AI-based automated chat.
• VeAssist - search results optimisation.
• VeGenie - dynamic display retargeting.

Recognition

Ve Interactive is a winner of a Data Strategy Award 2014 for Real-Time Marketing ^[28] and a Gold International Business Stevie Award for Computer Software Company of the Year 2013.^[29] It also scooped several awards at the Stevie Award in 2014, including Gold award in the 'Best New Product/Service’ in the e-commerce category for its VePlatform.^[30]

Corporate Social Responsibility

Since July 2011, Ve Interactive has donated its digital services to Concern Universal, an International Development and Emergency Relief organisation which works with people in some of the poorest countries of the world to find local, sustainable solutions to poverty & inequality.^[31][32] David J Brown serves as an ambassador for Concern Universal.^[33]

In 2013 Ve Interactive designed, built and donated Peace One Day website to reflect the global outlook of the charitable organisation.^[34][35]
