Vayalathala

Vayalathala is a small village situated in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala State in India. This place is situated 8 km from Ranni and 8km from Kozhencherry town. It is 8 km from the Pathanamthitta District headquarters, this town is under Cherukole Panchayat.This area include Kudilumukku,Parankimanthodom.Puthamon Thottungal padi, palliyathu padi,post office padi are the common junctions. This place is a hilly area . Majority of people in this area are Christians. There are three Orthodox churches, one catholic church, one Marthoma Church, One C.S.I church and a Pentecostal church and a Hindu temple Aaduparakavu devi temple (ayyappa seva sangham ..shagha no.51) situated in this village. Three primary schools are functioning in this village.The village has a post office(Post office junction),playground for volleyball,Primary health centre,Nursery school,Club. The relationship between the people are very healthy and majority of the people cultivate rubber.Vellaplackal,Vellattethu kuzhiyammannil,and theverkattil families constitute majority of the population. Other major families include Odikandathil,Attatharyil(kochuzthil),Vattiyanickal,kallodil,mezhuvelil,Paingattu(Punnamoottil).
