Vasili Dmitriyevich Kuznetsov (Russian: Васи́лий Дми́триевич Кузнецо́в) (7 February 1932 – 6 August 2001)[1] was a Soviet athlete who competed mainly in the decathlon. He was born in Kalikino, Ryazan Oblast.[1]
Kuznetsov trained at Burevestnik in Moscow. He competed for the USSR at three consecutive Summer Olympics. In the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia, and the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome, Italy, he twice won the Bronze medal. At the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan, he finished seventh.[1]
He died in Moscow.[1]
