Varam is a census town in Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala. Situated on Kannur Mysore Highway, 12 km from Kannur town.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Varam had a population of 14,739. Males constitute 46% of the population and females 54%. Varam has an average literacy rate of 81%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 78%. In Varam, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
