Vanessa Morgan (born March 23, 1992)[1] is a Canadian actress and singer. She is best known for her roles as Bird in the MTV teen drama Finding Carter, Amanda Pierce in the Family Channel series The Latest Buzz, and Sarah in the television film My Babysitter's a Vampire and television series of the same name.
Career
Morgan made appearances in the movie A Diva's Christmas Carol in 2000 and an appearance in 2010 in Frankie and Alice.
She became known in 2007 for her role of Amanda Pierce in the Family Channel TV series The Latest Buzz as well as singing the theme song for the series.
She also played Marion Hawthorne in the Disney Channel film Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars in 2010. The next year, she played Sarah in the Disney Channel/Teletoon film My Babysitter's a Vampire, as well in the television series of the same name.[2]
Morgan also appeared in the 2011 Disney Channel film Geek Charming alongside Matt Prokop and Sarah Hyland. She has a recurring role in season 2 of the Disney Channel series A.N.T. Farm. In 2013, Morgan appeared on Degrassi: The Next Generation, for two episodes.
Personal life
Morgan was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Her father is East African and her mother is Scottish.[3] She won the Junior Miss America 1999 pageant.[4] She graduated from Colonel By Secondary School in 2010. She also competed in The Amazing Race Canada with her sister, Celina Mziray.
