Vakkalagadda is a village in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh in India. It is 20 km from Machilipatnam, district headquarters of Krishna district and 70 km from Vijayawada.

It has a population of around 3200 with a literacy rate of 58.96%. It also has 4 schools, Panchayat Bhavan and a Society building. The village is mainly dependent on farming.This Village was under CPI rule for many years and under their rule village was developed well under leadership of Ravanavarapu Venkatesawara Rao,Mallupeddi Ramasubbiah,Hanumanula Venkatesawara Rao,Hanumanula Krishna Mohana prasad, Hanumanula Siva Rama Krishna and Hanumanula Surendranath Benerjee. Vakkalagadda village won awards at state and district level.

Later TDP came to power under leadership of Mallupeddi Ratnagiri Rao and Tatinei RamaKrishna. The village was awarded a Nirmal Gram award (cleanliness award) in 2008. [1]
