Vakhtang Ananyan

Vakhtang Stepani Ananyan (26 July 1905 4 March 1980) was an ethnic Armenian writer in the Soviet Union. He was awarded by Armenian State Prize in 1970.

Ananyan was born in Poghoskilisa village, near Dilijan. He was a participant of World War II. His first work was published in Pioner journal, in 1927.

He died in 1980 in Yerevan. A school in Yerevan is named after him.
