Urs Schreiber
Urs Schreiber (born 1974) is a mathematician specializing in the connection between mathematics and theoretical physics. His research fields include the mathematical foundation of quantum field theory. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nijmegen. He is considered a "leading practitioner" of the higher category theory.[1] He has travelled widely, speaks several foreign languages, and is an experienced mountain climber. He is also an accomplished amateur musician: he has played the flute for many years, and during his last visit to Kyoto he began studying the shakuhachi.
He is one of the creators of the website nLab, which is a wiki for research mathematicians and physicists working in higher category theory.
