The Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) is a film festival hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.[1] The festival takes place annually and has 501(c)(3) charitable organization status.[2] The inaugural festival took place in 2002.[3] Short film Ravishing Raspberry was named Best Animation Film at the 2003 festival.[4] In 2004, Ngardy Conteh's Soldiers for the Streets was screened at the UMFF.[5] Caryn K. Hayes' The World of Cory & Sid was nominated for Best Television or Web Series in 2009.[6] In 2010, Chike Nwoffiah's Sabar received the Audience Choice Award and the Best Feature Film Award.[7] Tony Clomax's 12 Steps to Recovery was named Best Television or Web Series that year.[8] Pardis Parker's The Dance came in second place at the 2011 festival.[9] Michael Holland's music video for JudaBlue's "Falling" won that year's awards for Best Overall Student Film and Best Student Music Video.[10]
