The Upper Grand District School Board (known as English-language Public District School Board No. 18 prior to 1999[7]) is a school board in Ontario, Canada. It spans an area of 4211 km² [5] and covers the regions of Dufferin County, Wellington County and the City of Guelph, in the region to the west and north of Toronto.

French immersion

The immersion program at Upper Grand District School Board previously extended to 12 elementary schools and 4 of the high schools.[8] More recently, the program has been cut back to 11 elementary schools and 3 high schools.[9] As of the 2004-2005 school year, a total of 1698 students were enrolled in the French immersion program.[4]
