Uppangala is the major panchayath village in Thallarevu mandal in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. Uppangala has a historical background. The Sivalayam Temple in this village is very famous. The half cut tail of Nandi (Bull) idol has its history. A mythological story revolves around this village.
